"The death of Marat", Jacques-Louis David

13th July 1793, Paris, in the middle of the Terror after the French Revolution.
There are three protagonists: the victim, Marat; his friend, the painter, and her, the killer.
As a tribute to his friend, Jacques-Louis David made this painting.
